“IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future”
Greeting from Myanmar Intellectual Property Proprietors Association (MIPPA) with a great honor to the World Intellectual Property Day falls on April 26, 2022
Dear MIPPA’s Members, Friends, Affiliated Partners, IP Trainees, IP Learners, and Observers,
Today is the World Intellectual Property Day which is observed annually on the date of 26th April. The event was firstly established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 manifesting “to raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life” and “to celebrate creativity, and the contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe”.
As you all may be aware that MIPPA has, proudly and in great essence, held the World Intellectual Property Day events on the 26th of April every year since 2015. This year also, MIPPA arranged certain commemoration of the World Intellectual Property Day with interesting programs such as opening MIPPA IP Academy’s IP Fundamental Courses and the Intensive Courses on Trademark and Copyright, especially an Article Competition on this year’s theme of World IP Day that is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future”.
MIPPA would like to inject rather more dedicated beliefs to this year’s Theme that we would like to explore how these innovative, energetic and creative minds of the new generation can drive to positively change of the new and better future of the world. Let us raise the hopes and pave the way for the young generation of inventors, creators, and entrepreneurs to have a chance of creation and application of intellectual property (IP) rights to achieve their goals, generate incomes, create jobs, tackle local and global challenges and support community and national development. We do trust in them and their future.
On this auspicious day, MIPPA wishes you all to be very healthy, happy, and safe in the pleasant world dislodged from the terrible pandemic, by virtue of newly invented medicines, techniques, and therapies.
